The Dyno Spectrum DS2 datalogging is a powerful datalogging software based upon the popular MegaLogViewer HD datalogging software by EFI Analytics. However, powerful software can have a powerful learning curve. Let's break things down and start with the basics. First Load Screen Doesn't look like much at first glance, but that's because a log file needs loaded before the software can really do anything. DS2 supports any log file of the CSV file type. Sometimes if you have Microsoft Excel installed, it will try to associate with CSV files, so be aware. Data log file loaded Ok, so we have loaded a data log and there's more stuff on the screen, but none of that data is anywhere to be seen besides a few numbers in the lower window. "Where's the fancy graphs", I hear you asking. Hold up, we'll get there. First, let's pick some variables. In the "Quick view" area on the left, under Graph 1, clicking on any of the empty slots will open up a drop...
There are multiple ways to limit torque on the C7/D4 platform using the DS1 and TunerPro RT software. Quick Refresher on DS1 map tables Any table in TunerPro RT that exists in the "Flex Fuel/Map switching" folder is copies of maps from other tables in other categories. These overwrite the data in the base map tables based on what "map switch" you are on. Modifying the base tables will have no effect as they are being replaced. Edit the table in the "map switch" you are running. If you want to edit the data in all maps, copy the table to all other "map switches". Some tables are duplicated again, once for gasoline, and once for ethanol. Bosch table names (codewords) Notice in the above picture the phrase "KFVNTUXS" was searched by description and found the tables. This is the Bosch name for that particular table in the ECU. These will be mentioned as they are easier to search for than by the description of what the table does. This can b...
Replacing the clutch assembly and rebuilding the mechatronics unit This is my adventure, issues, tips and tricks, and general thoughts while replacing a clutch assembly and rebuilding a mechatronics unit on a 2013 Audi S7. This is not meant to be a guide for how to replace the clutch assembly or rebuild the mechatronics unit. Transmission Removal Whole exhaust has to come off Including Downpipes If you have factory downpipes with catalytic converters, this is a chore by itself. Note the firewall heat shielding is removed. This gives just a little extra space to get the downpipes off. Each axle has a heat shield above it that needs removed. The front bolt on the driver side axle is a giant pain. These may have been left off on reassembly. Upper driveshaft bolts can be tricky to get to. A 13mm (or 1/2") wrench on the triple square can help. There is an oetiker clamp on the front spline of the driveshaft that is one use. Also, the driveshaft bolts are torque to yield and one us...
